or drop photos here · stays on your device
How to use it
- Add a photo.
- Review the readable summary; sensitive fields are flagged.
- Switch to Raw to see every field, or export everything as JSON.
Supported formats
JPEG, PNG, WebP, HEIC/HEIF, AVIF, TIFF. GIF and BMP rarely carry metadata.
Limitations
- Maker notes (proprietary camera data) are not decoded.
- Values are shown as stored; cameras often save time without a timezone.
Questions
- Why does my screenshot show no metadata?
- Many apps and messengers strip metadata. “No metadata found” means none of the supported blocks exist in the file.
- Are photo locations sent anywhere?
- GPS coordinates are displayed locally. Imagekani does not send them to a map service.
