Image Upload Fixer
Fit common upload limits on file size, dimensions and format.
or drop JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF, AVIF or HEIC files here · stays on your device
How to use it
- Add one or more images.
- Set the limits the upload form asks for — e.g. “under 200 KB, 600×600, JPEG”.
- Press Fix images. Each result shows its real size and dimensions, with a pass/fail check for every requirement.
- Download files one by one or all together as a ZIP.
Supported formats
Input: JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF (first frame), BMP, AVIF; HEIC in Safari. Output: JPEG, PNG, WebP, and AVIF where your browser supports it.
Limitations
- Output files contain no metadata (EXIF, GPS). Colours are converted to sRGB.
- Animated images are only processed if you allow flattening to the first frame.
- Images above 100 megapixels are refused to protect your device's memory.
- PNG is lossless — to hit a small size limit, shrinking or a lossy format may be required.
Questions
- How does it hit an exact file size?
- It searches encoder quality with a bounded binary search (at most ~10 encodes), keeping the best result under your limit. If allowed, it shrinks dimensions when quality alone is not enough.
- What if the limit is impossible?
- You get the smallest result we could produce, clearly marked as not meeting the limit, with a suggestion.
- Are my photos uploaded?
- Everything happens in your browser. Your photos are never uploaded.
