Privacy
Imagekani is built so that your images stay on your device. This isn't just a promise — image processing happens locally; the page server does not expose a photo-upload service.
What happens to your images
- Files you choose are read by your browser only. They are never uploaded.
- Resizing, conversion, compression and metadata removal run in your browser, mostly in a background worker.
- Your original files are never changed. Results are new files you download yourself.
- Nothing is stored after you close the page. Unfinished work is not kept.
What goes over the network
- The website itself and its fonts and code.
- Fonts load from Google Fonts. Google receives the font requests and standard connection information, never your selected images or their metadata.
- Photo locations are displayed locally. They are not sent to a map service.
Analytics
No analytics service is connected right now. If one is added, it will only count coarse events (for example “a tool was opened” or “a conversion finished”) and never file names, image contents, metadata, dates or locations.
Inside the Lovable editor preview, a page-render failure may send a fixed diagnostic message to Lovable. The app does not include the original error, file names, metadata or dates in that message.
Browser support
Features depend on your browser. We check what your browser can do — for example, WebP or AVIF saving — and disable options it can't support rather than producing a wrong file. HEIC photos can only be opened in Safari.
